In case anyone else encounters this problem, the sunscreen trim on the rear doors of my 2001 S80 T6 were getting pretty rough looking, so I called BOTH our local Volvo dealers, who informed me that the trim alone was sold ONLY as part of the door sunscreen kit.....and they both wanted in excess of $300 for the kit!! I also called Volvo North America (now...THERE is a waste of time) and was told the same thing.

Well..........HOGWASH!!!! I actually found an independent Volvo repair facility who took the time to do some checking.....and......EUREKA!!! The part number from Volvo for the trim is 9476000 (my particular car has light gray interior, but that should get ya real close)...and the pieces from Volvo are actually called "selector gates". These ARE genuine Volvo parts, and I bought them for $30 bucks......so......made me a happy camper!

ANYWAY....all of you are great to give me tips and advice, and when I found out this info wanted to share it, just in case someone else runs into the same problem. I will be glad to give anyone who wants it the name of the place that ordered mine in for me if they need it.

Well, we all love our Volvos....but whenever we can save that kind of "change" it is nice to do so, too!! HA! I guess my biggest surprise was after I emailed Volvo North America, and a lady actually called me back---telling me that the ONLY way to get the part was to buy the whole kit....hmmmmm.......now THAT was someone who was really trying to help a customer, huh? By the way....we only own 5 Volvos...haha!! Oh well...lesson learned!
