Default S80 Window

I took the driver door panel off my 2001 Volvo S80 today. Yesterday I went to roll the window down, heard a pop and the window fell into the door. I was surprised to see the glass was not broken when I took the panel off. Looking into the little access panel I can see a blue block and a clip, there is also a silver arm that looks like it should fit into the blue block. The blue block is cracked so I am guessing I am going to need a new one. The access panel is small, and cant see to the other side. I have a couple questions.
1. Is there more than one blue block and clip?
2. Is this something I can do myself?
3. How much would it cost to take to the dealership?
4. Can this be fixed with some 550 cord and duck tape?

Not uncommon for these to break:

I have the same problem and have it back together now. Yes, there are 2 blue blocks and clips. My window does not go up straight and closes uneven. I had to straighten the arms when I first put it back together. Does anybody have sugestions on getting the window even again.

I had the same problem with the passenger side window. I tired many times to straighten the arms on the regulator but never had success. I bought a used regulator off the internet and installed it. I used regular pop rivets for the covers and one steel rivet for the regulator with a bolt and lock nut in the bottom holes. I could not find a extra long pop rivet tool for the top two rivet points so I did not replace them. Works great and I hope it holds up. Cost $100.00 for the used regulator.

Rebirth of an old thread, but I am having the same issue.

Rolled down the window and it popped off the track. I ordered 4 sets of the plastic window slides. I put the window back in, rolled up and the front arm is about 2-3 inches lower than the rear when rolled up.

The regulator has not moved and its stable in place. I cant figure our how the arm could have moved like that since there was not any amount of force put on it, and it rolled up normally before it fell off.

How can the front arm move down and how can I get it to move back up. I do not wish to replace the entire regulator is I do not have to. Anyone ever had any luck or experience with this?
