Side window stuck in rain (2000 S80)
Here is a good one. Our drivers window wont go down after a rain. It goes down about 2 inches and stops and wont go further unless pushed down by hand. Its certified so I brought it to a dealer for repair. They "re- initiated the computer operated motor" and in spite of my insisting that it sounds like a silly fix, they sent me on my way. At first rain of cource it fails. Now they say they dont know what part could be broken and Volvo doesnt like them to just keep changing parts. Thats just crazy talk to me. If I told my boss I couldnt fix what I do He'd fire me.
Well No more rants. Sorry. Any sugestions as to the problem? Thanks

Because they did have a problem and developed software to fix it.
Try putting the window all the way up and continue to hold the switch for 5 seconds then go down and do the same and see if it works again.

Just so your not alone, we also deal with the same problem and have just dealth with it for now. Please let us know if you get it fixed. Too many other pricey fixes at this time to deal with figuring out the window.
