S80T6 2000 model Fuel system problem
I have an S80T6 that continues to give me fuel system problems. I have had the throttle cable cleaned out, the ECU shows that the oxygen sensor may be the problem. The vehicle basically drives beautifully for weeks on end and then if its parked down a hill with the front end pointed down the hill it fails to start properly and seems to be sucking for fuel until it stalls. It is now at the stage where every so often when driving along it does the same thing and sucks for fuel until it stalls. The current mechanic thinks it may be the oxygen sensors before the cat convertor but doesn't guarantee it will fix the problem. I took it to another mechanic and he states its possibly the fuel pump. Any ideas as its really pissing me off because the car drives so beautifully and then this re occuring problem takes place and then the next day the car is back to normal.
Call your dealer and see if this thing is under fuel pump warranty or recall 220. Some vehicles exhibit this problem.
