0W30 Synthetic Oil (to be or not to be) 2000 S80T6
Can 0W30 Synthetic Oil be used in a 2000 S80T6, because the manual lists 5w30, 5W40 and 10W30 only? I live in WI and the temp can reach a high of 114F or a low of -55F with an ave high of 85F or an ave low of 28F, so I need a good quality grade of oil. I ruled 5W40 out because SAE 40 is to thick, bad gas mileage for WI weather.
I called Mobil regarding the 0W30 M1 product to find out the pour point which is not listed, the guy rudely, stated it was the same as 5W30M1; I also asked if the oil meet the European standards, no it does not. What is the difference between 0W30 & 5W30 M1?
