I was having some fun in the back seat of my volvo last night and had the passenger seat forward the whole way to give me some room but when i went to push the button to make the seat go back, it wouldnt go and i realized that a coffee cup was stuck between the actual seat and the track. I took the cup out and then the seat wouldnt move up, down, forward, reverse, or even wouldnt tilt forward or back. its like i lost all power to the seat controls. is there a reset somewhere on the seat or does anyone know what would be going on with this?

 

I hope you were'nt by yourself ! I think your car wanted to join you, and this is it's way of protesting it's exclusion. Check the fuse.

 

yeah i did replace the fuse but when i tried to run the motor backwards, it blew out right away. does anyone have any idea? There must be a short but its not present until the button is activated.

 

Haha... fun in the backseat haha... I think iv only ever sat in my backseat once, let alone had fun in it..

I had a similar issue with some paper on the track but i was able to pull it out and everything seems back to normal after...
these volvo seats just eat things... and they get trapped under there with all those hydraulic cables..
