Default senstive gas pedel

About a month ago I was having ETM problems (99 S80) so I took it to the dealer and they did a software upgrade on it. Ever since then my gas pedal has been really sensitive, but its not all the time. I'll be sitting at a stoplight and just barely push the pedal and the car will take off. Is this from the upgrade they did and is there any way to fix it?

Also, what are the symptoms of the ball joints going bad? Recently whenever I make a sharp turn such as into or out of a parking space I hear a creaking noise...is that the ball joints? I noticed there was a recall on them, is there any way to check to see if it applies for my car?

Thanks!

Could be anything in your suspension, but TECH advised me on this one.

Check the sway bar links along with the ball joints. The ball joints can be replaced for free but you have to agree to pay for the service time on finding the problem on the chance it is NOT the ball joints.

Also check the bearings. If it is only in turns, it may be the sway bar links.

I believe I'm having a ball joint problem because any bump can make it creak and squeak.
BTW I have the same car as you..welcome to the house of horrors.

Can't help you on the pedal issue. May just be how the car is tuned after the throttle body work.

Gas pedal problem I think that is just the New software.

The Creeking problem check under the from by the wheel. You will see an arm that comes down. At full turn it will hit the Peice on the control arm. Either a plastic peice or a wheel looking thing.

Put some grease or Anti-seize on the Arm and see if it helps.
