Service light after alarm

One morning I started my car and I got a message about an alarm happening previously, ever since the service light comes on for about a minute after starting the car. Any ideas what this could be?

Are you sure it is the CHECK ENGINE and not the SERVICE light?

sorry you are right, it is the SERVICE light that comes on for a minute, got confused with the 4runner problem i also have haha

does clear it if you press the button on the end of the high beam lever?

it's only the service light that comes up for a minute after starting, the message for the alarm disappeared after clearing it through the button
