I am a college student and I saw a beautiful volvo s80 for 7k year 2000 with 98k miles on it. How realiable are these cars, I know they are great drives but will they break down often, will the cars last for a long time?

 

Get something else.

Get an 850 or an s70

 

Yeah, I've got that exact car (2000 S80 Non-Turbo) and I love the car, but the routine maintenance and such can get a bit expensive. I haven't personally encountered any problems with my car, but there are others that have had some expensive things break.
