They all have timing belts. The chain didn't start until the new body style (07+)

 

I sold my piece of **** s-80 as the problems came ,I drove nothing but volvos for 30 years,544,140,240,740,they were good cars,bought a toyota tacoma love it ,I spend my weekends hiking, biking not fixing my s-80 dont walk run from that car.
