Default Question for Tech

Tech I want to know if the s80 1999 transmission Gm4T65E is the same as the GM like in the pontiac etc, if so, can it be repaired with their parts.

the problem is that when I shift to drive goes up to 3rd gear and gets stuck it won't shift to fourth nor second and first so i have to drive it in third gear to reset it i have to restart the car. I pulled the codes and one said that it was a relay, I had it scanned and the technician said tha it was a hidrolic problem, I really need your comments abot this.

Yes you can buy parts from GM. They used the trans in the Caddy's.

On that subject TECH, does the GM transmission not 'need' the Volvo transmission fluid? Is GM fluid appropriate? Lastly, what is the trans in the 2002 c70?
Reg.

The Trans can use the GM fluid or the same type fluid. Either the Synthetic or regular what ever it calls for.

Your trans I don't think is the GM trans. It is the same one as the 850 and S70. (For the most part)
