Default Stalling at start up

If I let my 1999 Volvo S80 T6 sit for an extended period of time...say more than 5 hours, then it will stall the first 2 or 3 times that i start it. Sometimes if i can give it the right amount of gas, i can start it on the second time. Now, say i go somewhere in my car for an hour and come back out to start it, it starts up fine. Also, right after i get it started after the initial stalls, there is definitely some hesitation for the first few minutes. Could this be something simple like a fuel filter or is it more likely a major problem? I've never owned a Volvo before and this particular make and model has been nothing but a nightmare since i bought it. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have the fuel residuel pressure checked.
Sounds like you are loosing fuel pressure when it sits for a while.
