My 2000 S80 is stuck in park. Anyone have any ideas what this could be? Thanks in advance!

 

It is kind of hard to just say what is wrong. You really need to pull the shifter cover and look under the cover.
There is a few things that can make it stick in park.

 

Also, the button on the shifter, which is order to be pushed in, the brake pedal has to be stepped on, gets a little touchy. Try pushing the brake pedal in repeatedly a few times and try again while your holding it down.

 

are you sure it's not stuck due to say the car rolling a bit? I noticed on my 01 S80 that when on a hill and after putting the car in park, the car rolls a bit--making it hard to get the car out of park. Sometimes a hard pull on the gearshift is needed.
