Default Sub Frame Compatibility

Greetings,

I have a question and I am hoping someone can answer it for me.

Does anyone know the years/sub models that would have a sub frame that would be compatible with mine? Before I bought the car, the previous owner hit something and bent the sub frame. It wasn't an issue until my rack went out and now the mechanic cannot get the new one in because the sub frame is too bent. I am looking at my local (and not so local) yards and I am not finding any Volvos there that are my year. Did the bodies change that much?

My car is a 2005 Volvo S80 4 door sedan with the I5-Turbo in it.
From Wikipedia it seems as if my car is considered to be in the first gen. So... does that mean that anything from 1998-2006 would fit (S80 sub frame wise)?

The ones at the yard are....
a 2000 S80
A 2000 V70
A 2000 V70
AND A 2001 s40.

Would any of these work?

Will sub models (S40, V70...etc.) be interchangeable as far as the sub frame goes?

A used one about 2 hours away is like $600 and I was hoping I could source something locally and avoid freight charges.

Thanks in advance.

Also, a yard about an hour away has the following vehicles:

2004 S80
2007 S40
2004 S60

I am thinking that the '04 S80 may work, but I am wondering if there are any other compatible sub models (I dunno if I can con my mechanic into rolling with me over an hour away to pull that particular one.

The S80s and S60 should work. The other ones you listed definitely will not.

So, you think the 2000 S80 one would work? (that is the only one that is local) I mean they are all Gen 1 right? According to Wikipedia they got a facelift halfway through the gen but that just seemed to be some exterior cosmetics, right? Would it matter the engine that is in it? (did they come with V6s and I5s? And, if so then the motor mount placement would be different, no?)

The mounts are in the same spot for the I5 and I6. I'll double check the part numbers at work.

Turns out there is a VIN break for some reason. What is your VIN?

You need a subframe from any 1999-2006 S80 or 2001-2007 V70 or XC70 with the last 6 of the VIN up to 464218 or any 2001-2009 S60.
