Suddenly started losing power, stalling

I have a 2000 Volvo S80 2.9. Out of nowhere it started losing acceleration and I was able to get it home in time but now it’s barely at a crawl when I accelerate. Turned it back on and now the check engine light is on and it’s difficult to get started.

I just replaced the plugs, oil filter and fuel pump. Ran it though an ODBII scanner and it’s showing a P0335 crankshaft position Circuit A code.

I’m ordering the crankshaft sensor and I’m hoping that’s the problem. If not, any clue on what the issue could be?
