2010 S80 Starter issue
Hi there,
So, my S80 has 157K miles on it and is lagging when I start it. I have to hold the start button down until it starts. It only takes a second but previously I'd just push the button quickly and it would start right up.
At first I thought it was the battery but there is no clicking and after a day or two of this the battery hasn't died or anything.
I'm almost certain the following is a coincidence, but I did take the car in to replace the rear rotors. When I dropped it off it wasn't happening and when I picked it up I noticed the delayed or lag in starting. I can't see how they could be related, but I thought I'd mention it.
Do you all think its the starter? I'll buy and replace it today if so.
Here is a quick video of how it happens
The engine normally turns over very quickly, but now the engine doesn't turn over so fast. It takes longer to crank.
Thank you!
