Surging with ac at light idle
With 01 S80 T6, it seems in the GA heat, there is a bit of a surge with the A/C on when running at light idle throttle, say 10-20 mph. I have read several posts this AM and figured it to be the ETM, or throttle body. 1 such solution was to clean the throttle body. With it being a turbo, can someone give me an idea of where the throttle body would be located, and how hard is the cleaning?
Also has anyone had a problem with the oil filter cover being extremely hard to remove?

RE: Surging with ac at light idle
Before cleaning the throttle body Have you had any software upgrades done lately?
The throttle body is under the Intake. You have to remove the Big plastic hose to gain access to it.
Then remove the throttle body and clean and reinstall.
Do you have the socket tool for the filter housing?

RE: Surging with ac at light idle
I bought the car used in April, no idea of the software deal. Will have the dealer check it for me. Is cleaning the throyttle body something rather easy to do?
Yes, Picked up a socket tool for the oil filter housing a few weeks ago. I took it to a Jiffy lube place at first for the oil change, but they did not have a Volvo socket tool and were unable to wrnch the housing free to change the filter. Good way to get a free oil change, but I still need the filter changed. The socket should solve the issue right? Would a somewhat clogged oil filter be the source of the surging idle?

No a somewhat clogged filter will not cause the idle problem.
You have the socket and you might need a breaker bar as well if someone put it on there really tight.
The throttle body is a little of a pain. It is under the intake and hard to get to at times.
