TECH HELP!! Steering groan & front-end clunking
2006 S80 AWD, 8500 miles, 18" wheels-- Getting a loud groaning when turning - key is this only happens with slight pressure on gas pedal (I can turn the wheel all day at a dead stop, and no sound) -- so this usually happens in slow turns/approaches. Dealer has 1) said system was "air bound" and filled fluid to power steering, and 2) 2'nd visit, replasced the power steering pump -- just got worse again -- starting to think this is drive-train/AWD issue?
Also getting the thumping/clunking sound from the front end -- again, usually slow, bigturns with bumps (like a hard right). Dealer says they cannot "reproduce" the sound, yet I get it every time I get into the car.
Love the car, hate the problems -- Any help is much appreciated.

Maybe the fluid bottle is bad for the steering.
Suspension check the strut caps/ and sway bar links.
Possible it is a AWD issue but I would rule everything else out first.

i had that moaning sound while turning too, the hose near my power steering tank turned out to be mangled/twisted/pullled/bent, a new hose clamp solved it.
