Thermostat Replacement on 2000 S80 T6

hello,
where is the thermostat located on a 2000 volvo s80 t6 and how would i replace it?and please be detailed, this is my first time doing anything even moderately difficult on my own car.

It is mounted on the front of the motor under the timing covers.
