Default Throttle Body Cleaning

Anyone know when to clean the throttle body on a 01 S80....? Everything seems to be running just fine..is this one of those jobs that are only done when needed or is preventative maintenance a good thing.

One of my friends told me..If it ain't broke don't fix it..and he's been right most of the time..

Thanks for any input..

I would try to do it every 30K or so.

You should be able to handle doing it.

Thanks Tech...then it's probably about 4 times overdue..because I doubt very seriously if it's ever been done to this car.

Will have to bone up on how to get to it on this car...on other cars it's right on top of the engine..but this one looks like it maybe stuck under a whole lot of stuff..LOL
Thanks for the quick response Tech !!!

Yes it is under the intake. Non-turbo is alot easier to get to.

Thats the kind of content the mods should sticky or it will get lost like everytihng else does,

thanks for the video, but like the reply someone wrote in the youtube video this does not solve the original problem of bad electronics inside the unit itself...

WOW thanks!!, I have mine off on my s80 turbo but didnt really know how to clean it. I read somewhere that you had to take the whole intake manifold off so I did that, but I hope it goes back together smoothly
