Default Totally confused about 2005 s80 2.5T FWD specs

Hi,

I just bought a 2005 Volvo s80 2.5T FWD. I have been trying to research specs on the net and I am totally confused. I see that there is a 2.5T AWD (and plenty of info about it), but not much, if anything on the 2.5T "Light pressure Turbo FWD". How much boost does the "Light Pressure Turbo" make? Furthermore, are there any safe bolt on turbo upgrades out there (even home-brew)? I have heard of a lot of people that have their ECM tuned for better performance, but I guess I was wondering if there are other turbo options.

FOR EXAMPLE (and pulling numbers out of the air so please don't flame)

If the stock turbo on the 2.5T FWD makes 8.1 lbs of boost then is there a source-able bolt on turbo application that would raise the boost to say 10 or 12 (even if a larger intercooler is required) to safely run with what I think is a 9:1 compression?

Before I get flamed for speaking out of turn -- I know little (nothing) about this car because it seems as if it is the illegitimate bastard child that no one on the web wants to talk about LOL.

Any help would be appreciated.

Furthermore, what would the Engine Model# be so that I could research?
Or, how do I find it out? From the VIN? Any other identification locations?

Is there even such a thing as a 2.5T FWD? According to Google there is (but no info available) When I type " 2005 volvo s80 " into Google it pops up with information and pics on the right and under "Configurations" it states:

2.5T

2.5T AWD

T6

All which are clickable links but just takes me back to the original search query. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks and go easy on me !!!

The boost is regulates by the ECM. So just putting a different turbo on isn't going to change boost.

What's your VIN?

The VIN is
YV1TS592451412653

I used the decoder to grab info (Post pending moderator approval)

Also, from Wikipedia (cringe for using it as a reliable resource LOL) However, I am not sure what the R5 means (I am guessing the 5 means Cylinders, but I couldn't find an exact match on this page and my vehicle isn't listed as being one that has this motor (see below)

B5254T2

The B5254T2 has dual VVT and is turbocharged and intercooled. It produces 6 psi of "boost." Output is 210 hp (157 kW; 213 PS) at 5000 rpm with 320 N·m (240 lb·ft)[111] of torque at 1500–4500 rpm. The B5254T2 has a compression ratio of 9.0:1

Now that I know what engine is in it I can do a little bit of research into the engine.

Thanks for the VIN tip!
