Default tune up question

I need to change spark plugs on my 2001 volvo s80 t6 with 115,000 miles on itand just wondering what a good spark plug is to put in. Also should i change anything if i am changing spark plugs. Is it possible that the coil packs need replaced? im guessing that there are no spark plug wires so would a tune up just be replacing spark plugs and how would i tell if the coil packs are bad or not? Also could someone give me a pictured instructions on how to change them. Thanks a lot.

There are no spark plug wires. I like the Volvo factory plugs because I have a turbo and it isa lot of work to change them. I don't want to do it often if the cheaper plugs go bad. Here isa writeup I did on how to change the plugs. If you do nothave a turbo, it will be a lot easier because you will nothave to remove all the turbo air hoses: http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/for...11&t=17431

I second that motion!!! I will always recommend to put Volvo plugs into your volvo. It is strange and not many other vehicle act like this, but I have seen different volvos come in with several different kinds of plugs in them and they will barely run....Volvo is the way to go. And believe it or not they are not that expensive!

I would suggest to not put in platinum plugs. Not all t-6s will do it but i did and got check engine lights and car ran like crap until i switched out with copper plugs.

Like other guys said just get volvo plugs.
