Default Turbo Upgrade?

Hey guys, I have a 1999 S80 T6. From what I have gathered, this car has a bi-turbo, and it is called a bi-turbo (rather than twin turbo) because one of the turbos is a lot smaller than the other.

First off, I was wondering if this statement was true to begin with, and if so, what else would I have to replace (besides the trubo itself) to take out the smaller turbo, and replace it with another bigger one.

Also, is this worth doing?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I do believe it is a Twin Turbo as they are 12b turbos. I could be wrong though.

If they are different and you wanted it to replace it with the same size as the bigger turbo you would need some items.

1. The turbo itsself.
2. Water and oil lines
3. Gaskets most likely
4. You would want an ECU tune to to take advantage of the bigger turbo.

IMO it isn't truly worth it. You will spend big bucks for not much of anything.

I would do an exhaust upgrade and an ECU tune. You will see some nice increases from these two items.

What size is the free turbo?

I think it is crazy. Because you will get great performance increases from an upgraded downpipe system to a catback system and an ECU upgrade.

I'll have to find out the size of the free turbo.

On the topic of chips, should I go for something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PERFO...QQcmdZViewItem

or is there a better site that I should be looking at?

Thanks for the help.

GOD NO

Do not ever buy a chip off of EBAY unless it has a name like SpeedTuning USA, Inmotion, Upsolute, IPD USA or RICA and or BSR.

Not to mention it costs freaking less then $10. Now come on this is a gimmic and you should have smelled that from the beginning.

Look into IPD and RICA. Looks like RICA doesn't have anything for your car, but call Viva Performance and or message them and ask.

IPD USA

EuroSportTuning (EST) , these guys sell the BSR PPC units.
