Default vent box

is it possible to remove the vent box without removing the alternator and AC compressor? can i just remove the top of the box for cleaning? i have oil comming from the vent box and into the boost system what would cause that? is there a filter or something that gets clogged? thanks

i tried to make a tool to get the bolt out but it didnt work out so i removed the the alternator, AC compressor (just unbolted) and removed the power steering pump and housing completely.. this sux i am finaly done with the "tear down" and basicaly all thats left is the block... i have a list of parts to order now to get back up and running.. I STILL NEED A WAY TO CLEAN INTERCOOLER is it possible to clean without removing from the sandwich? i have taken apart enough.. lol

The bottom should have a drain a really small hole. If so try to use some brake cleaner and let it drain out.

so ur thinking the intercooler has a small drain on it? that would be cool ill take a look

what would the intercooler having a clogged drain hole cause? symtoms exactly please??

id imagine that it would have a plug in it anyway? maybe not i havnt seen it yet... if its realy small then probly not too much air gets through it anyways and it wouldnt matter.. i think they SHOULD have a hole in there that you can drain so that you can flush it out without having to remove the hole thing and either acid bath it or flush it..

If it were clogged it would not affect anything at all. It is a small hole put in there to allow oil to drain on its own no plug.
