Default volvo timing trouble

My timing tensioner bearings gave out...
I searched for the problem and I took it out along with the timing belt not thinking about timing.
then I turned the gears every which way trying to figure out how to time it. (I heard that I wasnt supposed to turn counter clockwise, but i did)

now its apart and I have NO clue how to put it back together. I have swapped 3 engines, and 4 transmissions, out of older mazdas... so im not a beginner at the wrench, but definately a NEWB when it comes to more modern cars.

oh ya, I dont have a powerful enough impact to take off the crankshaft bolt. is it necessary that I take that piece off?
HELP ME GUYS,

THANKS in advance

I think 2.8?

after reading this post again... I dont think I was clear... I know how to put it back together, but how do I time it properly? and did me moving it every which way mess something up? I heard moving it counter clockwise messes up the variable valve timing. I know how to put this thing back together, but I dont know how to time the crankshaft or fix my mistake of moving it counter clockwise thanks, -JOE
