I hope I can still get some help with our 98 S90. The driver side outside door handle will not open the door. The locks seem to be working and the door will open from the inside. The outside handle does not seem to be connected to anything. Any and all help and advice appreciated. Also any hints on getting the door panel off. That looks pretty straight forward but anything I should known about? This is my wife's car so I want to gather all the information I can before I get in to it.

Its really not THAT hard to do. You need to pop the interior door panel off to access the parts you need to fix. Be sure to have your window rolled up when you do this. Power or crank windows? Crank will require a special tool or some ingenuity to pop the the crank off before you get the door panel off.
