What is the difference between the 1997 960 and the 1997 S90 ? I'm going to look at a 960(non turbo).I drove a V90 about a month ago.

Minor interior differences is all.

 

mostly when it was built and which badges are on it ... at some point during the '97 model year they started calling them S90's ... look at the upholstery on the tops of the doors, I'm not sure when they changed that, S90's usually are puckered all up if they've ever been parked in the sun, never seen a 960 do it, but mine's a '94, things change

 

I have a '97 960 - puckered up doors. I'm pretty sure it's only a model# change, same car.

 

I *believe* the S90 got the 'leather' shifter boot and a 'wood' shifter handle. And different badges.

 

Speaking of "puckered up" door panels, is there any fix for that?

I believe I have one of the first S90’s it’s registered as a 960 and the vin has 960 but the car is an S90 it’s still all original in excellent condition with 89000 miles never been out in the snow or salt I bought it new
