Default can not get andriod auto to work on 2022 S90

Ok need some help. Just picked up my 2022 S90 . I am in NC USA . I drive a lot and have always used waze via Andriod auto . I have not been able to get it to work. I went back to the dealer today and he told me its not supported YET .. I looked on line and the owners manual says it is supported. He said he was not sure when it will become available. Not sure I believe it. Does anyone know for sure if its available and working ? Or do I need to wait for software update from VOLVO when its supported ??

In these forums, it appears a lot of people are having issues with androids and their connection to the volvo app and their 2022 car. I can't personally speak on it, but it's a trend I am seeing. Very poor on volvos part.

I just got this response back from Volvo care .... Not a lot of information, other than its not yet supported. Hello Steve,

Thanks for reaching out to Volvo in regards to your inquiry.

I do not see that Waze is supported right now I do apologize, but please do take advantage of the GPS system your vehicle does have in the meantime if you'd like.

Waze is NOT Android Auto, Waze is a separate navigation app (like Google Maps, actually owned by Google now) that runs on Android, and is displayed on Android Auto on the Volvos screen running Android Automotive.
This thread should be called "Can't get Waze to work on 2022 S90 via Android Auto" based on the reply by Volvo.
