Default Fog lamp blowing fuses

Swapped out fog lamp bulbs. 55 watts on a 25amp fuse. It worked all of 5 minutes now it's blowing fuses. Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure 55 watts is the usual power of these lamps.

I would inspect the lamp bulb mounting area and connectors for corrosion. A ground short would blow fuse immediately.

Also be sure the 'hot' wire inside the lamp housing did not have its insulation come off and touch the ground!

Good idea! I think I remember kinda stuffing the wires back in there. They May not be sitting right, huh?

Yea, also if connectors get dirty they will heat up and increase the current draw.

I like using a pencil eraser or fine grit sandpaper like 800. Sometimes chemicals like 'brasso' will work.

Looks like wires touching was the culprit. You can see the burn marks the wire @ 12 o'clock . @vdonkey thanks for the for advice.
