Default Mold in A/C

I have a 1998 S90 that has developed a nasty mold problem with the A/C. I stopped driving it because everytime I drove it I would get a nasty allergy attack sneezing 30-40 times in a row and it just takes me down hard.

Tried to change the internal air filter/cabin filter and discovered there is NOT one on this model. Parked it for 6 months and then climbed back in last weekend for an extended 4 day trip. Here is what I believe happened.

While sitting idle for 6 months the mold died off. Using the A/C for several days allowed for condensation and moisture to reactivate the mold problem. On day 4 I suffered a debilitating allergy attack... just like when I quit driving it. Damn!

Any ideas on how I might clean this A/C system? I can GUESS what to do as easily as the next person. I am hoping for someone who actually KNOWS what to do.

Thanks,
Sneezing in Paradise.

Where is the car? Maybe it is contaminated beyond correction and should be picked up by someone for immediate quarantined. I can handle that for a small fee.

If you don't buy that, you likely have a plugged drain that allows the condensation to drain. Unplug the hole and then maybe flush the area out with a water bleach mixture. You can also find someone that has a mold destroying filter machine like the FreshAir machine by Ecoquest. Run the machine a couple of time in the car for a day to two.

Also, mold does not DIE OFF. It goes dormant, awaiting the next burst of moisture to feed it so it can grow more and more. You have to kill it with chemicals.
