So I'm pretty much all '88-'95 redblock wagons, had 15, got three now. But one of my faves of the bunch was my '93 960.

There's one local to me, for $1k, a green '97
In broad strokes, this was the last iteration of the 960 yes? And basically a RWD (also a must for me..not a fan of 850s or FWD Volvos) with a whiteblock mounted inline, not transverse. The motor and trans would make a fun big horsepower project car, add a turbo, etc.

The thing I remember about the mostly love/some hate with that '93 was parts.
Does the rear suspension on the '97s share that silly fiberglass/only one shock made for it rear suspension, "live axle" or something? I can't remember now but I do know it was new for '95 and I'm guessing stayed that way.

I have a Regina '94 940 I was going to pull the block from my blown transmission XC and do a swap, but parting it out, might be a smarter option and starting with an almost 3.0 liter engine, that at least in the '90s got like 203 BHP off the lot stock. Interior is pretty I'll give it that... luxury...

How are the seats? comparable to other Volvos, I have a rare spine genetic disorder, and most of my vertebrae have been shattered or fractures, well all of them at one point or another, so comfort is a plus. And I'm 6'5" with the legs of 5'8" man, so my spine is longer than Shaquille O'Neils and what you'd find on a 7'10" man had I the legs to match it. In my 940s when I turn to look for oncoming traffic, I'm looking out the rear passenger window my seats so far back.

One thing I loved about the P2 cars, were they weren't that I just "fit" in them, but they felt ROOMY... I just can't afford to own a car that blows up a part every 2-10k miles... Ergo I stay with what I know. Redblock RWD.

Thanks Gentlemen.
