It depends on which parts you are looking at. Your car has independent rear suspension (IRS)which shouldbe self levelling. That leaves the front shocks and the strut rod bushings.

Well I just dont know much about lowering springs and kits and such. So if you want to can you explain what they are? And there might be some trouble lowering the rear of my car. At what are price ranges for things like this?

I am not a believer in lowering suspension as it is mostly done forits cosmetic effect. The only advantage that I can see is that the roadholding may be improved but it's not guaranteed. What is guaranteed is that lowering only the rear would make roadholding much worse.

The rear springs and shock absorbers on the link you gave were not suitable for your car as it has independent rear suspension and, as I said above, it should be self levelling. Changing the suspension would have an adverse effect on your car.

Out of curiosity why do you want to lower the suspension?

As for prices - I don't know as I am in the UK.

I do believe your stuck. I do not think you can lower the rear end of your car. Just like I cannot.

The only reason im looking to lower my car is to have my rims closer to my wheel well. I saw a video some volvos and every single one was lowered and i just love the look. I have 18 inch rims, so i dont think i coulda gotten 19's without goin with a lower profile tire, ( which i couldnt afford at the time), but anyways to answer your question, i want to do it for looks, and not so much for handling. Where are you in the UK? My dad is from Guernsey ive been therealotof few times, and i have family in South Hampton.

Well get it out of your head about lowering your car. Just like I did. You can't do it.

1. Deal with it.

2. Look into something very custom and very exspensive.

3. Buy an 850 without IRS or an S70 without self-levling.

You would be much happier with an 850 or s70 believe me. Not to mention get a turbo model to mod engine parts.

I totally agree with S70driver.

None of them would be a 960. You could do it with a 940 if you still want to keep the 'brick' look.

I am from Durham Cityhome one of the most spectacular Cathedrals and about 300 miles north of Southampton.

Yeah if you to do a custom job then that is how it is going to have to be done. Sorry.

I cannot lower my car either.
