Hello all, I'm new here so maybe I haven't seen the post addressing this, but I'm installing an aftermarket CV Axle on the front passenger side and can't seem to get the outer side into the hub far enough to engage the nut and pull it through. I've measured the old and the new axle and they are the same length. I cleaned and lubricated it with grease, then lined it up with the splines and it goes in until it hits a lip then no further. I've tried re installing the old axle but run into the same problem. The Transmission side goes in without a problem. I'm including pics of the hub and axle. If there's any sort of trick to this I would love to know.
At least for my car, it took some force to get into the transmission side. I straightened the outside portion and used a hammer to strike the precise center of the outer section, remembering to screw the nut back in (reverse way)before hitting. With a little push, I could move the other side into the appropriate spot after the transmission side was all the way in. Are you certain your transmission side was fully in? I think If you try to tighten the bracket back, you should be able to tell if your axle is in the proper position.

I had no trouble getting it into the transmission side. Hammers did nothing, I ended up replacing the hub itself, and it went together with little force. I'm not sure how I would have been able to do it otherwise. Even after removing the original hub and attempting to put it on the original CV axle I wasn't able to get it to budge even with a small sledge and a vise, so I think I made the right choice.
