this is 2nd time. car is a2000 s40. anyone else have this happen

 

All the years I've been working around theses cars, I've never heard of that happening. Do you have a different floor mat?

 

Never seen it either but I have seen customers with 2 or 3 floormats jammed up there. I always take them out and make a note on the RO that there were multiple floor mats that were removed. That way if something ever happens, its on record that I took them out and warned the customer.

 

That's all I've ever seen. Floor mats holding the accelerator pedal down.
