Hello,

I recently had the engine replaced in our 2001 V40 and I just noticed that if I accelerate quickly from a stop there seems to be a noise and I think the transmission is slipping a bit in first gear. I seem to be able to reproduce the noise by stepping on the brake and running the accelerator up a little bit while stopped. I checked the automatic transmission fluid while the engine was still warm and it seem to be pretty close to the hot level.

Is this something to worry about? Have other people seen a similar problem? I guess I'll take it back in to have it checked.
