hi
i am seem to get a light clunking noise when pulling away from junctions or slowly and not all time but more rather than less.
can some 1 please help
this noise seems to be from engine bay area and is driving me mad
please enlighten me

 

does it happens when u slow the car down?? if it does check and see if lug nuts are tight on all wheels.. the wheels love to falls of on thoes car if excessive corrision build up between hub and wheels..

 

happens wen pulling away from junctions and maybe wen change to second gear is noticable

 

Mine was doing this also, all engine mounts were fine, then I saw it, there is a stiffening barfrom one side of the chassis to the other, just behind the motor,this is firmly bolted to the chassis at 2 points left and right of the car. Mine must have been hit by something and bent it upwards slightly so the middle of the bar now touched the body causing the noise you mentioned.
Just a crowbar and a hefty grunted pull bent it back down 1/2" and stoped all the noises.
