Completely stumped about these issues, need help
Good evening all,
Just traded my 97 850 for a 2001 V40.
The v40 has a few little issues as described below and i'm looking for guidance on isolating the issues.
Currently, the check engine light is on with the following codes:
P0107 : Manifold Absolute Pressure / Barometric Pressure Circuit Low
P0237 : Turbo / Super Charger Boost Sensor "A" Circuit Low
Also, the car is how to say a "PIG" on fuel.
It also has a loping idle (bounces from 500-1100RPM)
Also, on occasions, when trying to overtake another car on the highway or during moderate to heavy acceleration, the car will "buck severely".... If i maintain the foot on the gas during bucking, it will lose all power almost as if the car loses all spark and steadily decelerates.
Here is what was done so far on the car :
New air filter
New spark Plugs (gapped at recommended 0.030)
New Serpentine belt
New fluids all around
New MAP sensors (x2)
New boost control solenoid
Cleaned the Throttle body and AIC(idle air control valve)
A volvo mechanic mentioned that since the code is "low circuit" that it indicates that theres a wire somewhere that is faulty or cut and he recommends that i let them find it. Estimate: 8 hours @ 129$/hour since it's electrical!!!!!!!!!
Any advice ?
Thank you
