I have a 2005 Volvo s40. I'm getting a shaking wobble feeling around 25mph and 75mph. Balanced tires, no help. Moved ties front to back, no help. Cv boot was torn so I changed the axle and while I was doing that, control arm and front struts. Still the same. Then I thought bearing but wheel feels tight when jacked up. Motor mount? When I drop in neutral at speed still shakes no change. The only thing I notice is when I check wheel at 9 and 3 the wheel will push in at 9 a little and I hear a knock toward the rear center of engine.

 

I had the main motor mount on the pax side of the engine completely tear in two. Also had the main engine brace on the rear of the engine crack in two. Car was in a wreck before I bought it so these items may be related to that.

Which axle did you replace? And which side wheel are you checking?
