Default Driver side center air vent blade pops out when moved, any DIY fix possible?

Hey everyone!

I have a Volvo V40 CC from 2014, and for a while I've had this vent blade that basically pops out as soon as I move the vent orientation up or down.

Today I decided to look into it, and as it turns out, the blade isn't held in place correctly on it's right side (check pictures for a more detailed view).

I've called my volvo specialist and he told me that it would cost me about 2000sek (around 200USD) to fix, because they have to change the whole center console and not just the vent itself... Which obviously I thought was a tad too expensive for such a small, esthetic issue.

So I'm looking for a possible way to fix this myself for a lesser cost. I am not 100% sure that the "clip" section is proper broken, but compared to the other side it seems the upper section of that "clip" is shorter which in turns makes the blade pop out when oriented up or down because it slides forward just enough to get out.

I'm also selling the car soon, and I really wanted it to look its best. Do you think this would bring the cost down by much? And do you know of any fix I could apply by myself without having to change the whole center console?

Thanks in advance to all those who will take the time to read/answer!

Here is the culprit

Other side for reference

really depends on what is broken. I've never pulled the vent on a 2014 but on older models, the vent grill simply snaps into the housing with a a plastic pin to hold it in place. If the grill is broken, you can replace that part (check with a dealer store for the part number). If the housing itself is broken then your specialist is right - you'd need to do a bit of disassembly to replace the housing. You may also want to check in with a local recycle yard / pick-a-part to see if they will sell you a used vent grill for a few bucks. Try Erie Vo Vo or do a yard search via car-part.com
