Default electrical hiccup....

Was driving v40 on highway yesterday (was raining) and lost total electrical for maybe a second. Car hesitated and radio went dead. I assume all other electric went offline as well but it happened so fast and all came back online. Engine did not like it very much but it continued for rest of ride and was ok today with no problems. I have seen subtle electrical issues with this car before - lights flicker or panel lights dim - but nothing ever this bad. Does this sound like a short or the CEM? I dont really see any headlight issues which is often a CEM prereq for failure? Any suggestions would be appreciated...thanks

Check your negative to chassis or engine bonding points.
