Hey guys, new member here

So I have a 2001 V40 which didn't have fog lights when I bought it. Saw that my local scrap yard had a V40 with fog lights, I went ahead and got them + the headlight/fog lights controller in the cabin for cheap.

When I installed them on my car, I noticed it already had the connectors for the fog lights which were plugged in a dummy plastic plug. When removing the connector the contacts were clean and looked like new. I changed the fog bulbs and installed the controller but they won't work. I check the fuse and it's all good. The controller will work for the headlights and rear fog light but not for the front ones. When I turn on the rear fog light there is a light on my dashboard to tell me it's on (like it was before the install), but there is no light in the dash for the front fog lights.

There was a second V40 at the scrap yard, took the headlight controller and it does the same thing, doesn't work. Any one have an idea?

Fuse ok? Do you have the correct dashboard switch installed and does it have voltage up at the switch?
