Just purchased a new vvt pulley for my 01, v40. Problem is the new pulley did not have a timing mark. Is this typical for this replacement part, if so. Are their any procedures I could use to determine the correct position of the timing mark or should I return the parts to the warehouse for another pulley.

 

OEM or aftermarket? The timing mark is a very small mark. Easily missed.
