injector fault codes and rough running
hello - i just pulled off the following error codes from my 1997 2.0L V40 using a fenix 5.2 code reader:
145 INJECTOR 4 [1,5,d,1]
125 INJECTOR 2 [1,5,d,40]
325 ECU MEMORY LOSS
now and then the engine runs rough and the electronic engine fault light illuminates. flicking the ignition off and on while driving solves the problem although i would like a more permanent solution. any ideas very welcome !
cheers!

RE: injector fault codes and rough running
hi tech - thanks for taking an interest.
re: check engine light - when the engine starts running rough, a light swiches on which my manual tells me is the 'electronic system fault in engine' light so i guess that qualifies as a check engine light - i should say it is a UK model.
I recently had the car converted to run on LPG gas and the injector problem seems to be related to the gas system as the fault is solved by switching back to petrol (as well as flicking the ignition off/on even when continuing to run of LPG). so if the LPG system is causing the fault, why do i get an injector fault code even though running on petrol does not generate the same fault code? grrrr - i wish modern cars weren't so packed with electronics ! What I don't understand is why the rough running is solved by turning the ignition off then on again while driving - how can that influence the injectors (if they really are at fault here) ?
let me know if you have any thoughts as they will be greatly appreciated,
with thanks,

RE: injector fault codes and rough running
hi tech - thanks again for the reply. I've been asking around and it turns out that it is normal for the ECU to register a fault on two injectors once the LP conversion has been done. So on this basis it would seem that there is a loose electrical connection somewhere in the LP inectors, which are drilled into front of the intake manifold. Although a rather specific topic, I though this info might be handy to any other LPG drivers who might be misled by the 'fault' codes that appear after LP conversion.
Keep up the good work on this forum - i've found it very useful.
Cheers!
