Hey all.

I have a Volvo V40 D2 63 plate 1.6 diesel and this morning, I started the car as normal (Start/Stop Button) and the air conditioning light was on from the off (due to the warm weather it's been on a lot recently). I don't know if it's a coincidence but I drove about 10 yards and turned off the air con and a message come up on the dash saying "Press Start/Stop button" which was weird because the engine was on. I pulled over and turned off the engine. I pressed the button for the engine and it wouldn't start. You could hear the engine trying to start and the car was jumping but it would just shut off. I tried this a few times but the engine would not start, just continued engine jumping and noise. No smoke.

After a little while, I tried again and the engine jumped and stuttered but kicked into action.

There are no warning lights, no messages, nothing. I parked up after a 40minute drive and turned off the engine. I waited 2 minutes or so and tried the engine and it worked. I'm hoping when I finish work the issue wont happen again but I'm on edge as it would've been idle for 8 hours or so. Anyone else had similar issues or know what this could be?
