HI !! I am a proud new owner of a 2000 V40 and have a newbie question for you , Does the electric Rad cooling fan stays on after you turn off the car for a few minutes , my car fan stays on for a while , just in case I am at a hot weather 90 degrees .

yes, it stays on for a while.
depending how hot it is.

 

Thanks !! for your reply as a newbie I am getting to know the car , I drove it for a week mostly highway from Miami to Jacksonville , but now my baby is in Puerto Rico melting in a 100 degree traffic and probably those fans are working overtime now.

just remember to let the car idle for a minute after you drive it.
the longer the drive the longer you should let it idle.
Turbo'd cars should let idle a couple minutes....etc.
