heater/ac fan stays on.
Hi, I'm new to the forum and was hoping someone has experienced this before. Last night an hour after driving the 2001 v70 I was told the interior fan was still running. As you would expect, all of the display was off because the ignition was off and car was not running but the interior fan was running on high. I pushed several control buttons in attempt to shut it off but the only thing that worked was to insert key, start car and immediatly the fan shut off and then i shut off car and everything went back to normal. My concern is if I hadn't been notified that this was running, I would have had a dead battery by morning. Does this sound like a sticky relay and if so where would that be. I would appreciate any help especially if this has happened to you and you have corrected it. thank you in advance. We love the car for it's comfort and saftey. It has 133k and just purchased it.

Blower stays on
Hello, The A/C, and I assume ACC systems, have a feature where the fan stays on to blow the evaperator dry. I haven't been able to establish a pattern of this operation in my car yet, a 2002 V70 base. We did just go through a hot spell and at one point the fan was on when I returned to my car. This was after driving with the A/C on AND with leaving the fan control **** at some point in the middle of it's range. It had been running for an hour (I assume it hadn't shut off and restarted). The next day I turned the A/C compressor off 2 miles before I reached my destination and ran the fan on high (to dry the system). I turned the fan off before I turned the engine off. The fan wasn't on when I returned to the car after 10 minutes. I don't know if there is an adjustable time for this feature. I don't remember reading anything about it in the owner's manual. I'll check that today and post back if the subject is referred to. Kira ps What year and trim level is your car? K

Days later
Hello, I was doing some underhood cleaning when the vent blower started up. This was after the engine had been stopped 15 minutes. I turned the fan speed control to 0 after about 5 minutes so I don't know how long it would have run. I forgot to check the owner's manual. Any "data" at your end? Ha-Ha Kira
