Default P0172,p0130, p0101

I am posting on behalf of my parents, who have a 2002 V40, close to 90k miles. A CEL recently came on with a little delay on acceleration. I have a code reader and pulled those three. Anyone know what those three codes together might refer to? The car just had the most pertinent check up at the dealership a couple of months ago.

Anyone had these three codes come up together?

The 0172 is telling you the car is running rich, the 0130 is saying the O2 sensor is going out of range trying to compensate and the 0101 says your MAF (mass airflow sensor) signal is out of range. 1) I'd probably start by inspecting and cleaning the MAF (vids are on Youtube - takes a screwdriver and about 15 minutes). Use CRC MAF cleaner not throttle cleaner. 2) inspect all the vacuum lines and intake hoses for tears, leaks. 3) after that I'd clean the throttle intake, idle air control valve etc and make sure there are no leaks between the MAF and throttle. Worst case here is you may need to replace the MAF. You can shop prices on FCPEURO, EEUROPARTS or TASCAPARTS to name a few .com part places I've used to get an idea of the replacement cost. Also, don't go too long attending to this as running rich for too long can clog the catalytic converter.
