My 1998 V70-xc just started acting up. the turn signals flash real fast ( not like you have a bulb out) then stays on steady. Pressing the 4-way flasher switch causes them to flash a few times then stops. I can hear the relay behind the 4-way switch chattering. All turn signals light but i get the chatter then stop. Any body else have this experience?

Does anybody know how to access the flasher units on this car? Where are they?

 

I had an issue where my turn signals would not work at all. I replaced the fuses and they worked fine. So I would replace the fuses. Not sure if it will fix it... but it is somewhere to start.

 

The turn signal's work, its's something with the flasher unit. If I manually flip the turn signal lever the lights come on but dont flash, some times they do for a couple of flashes then chatter quickly then go steady. I read on another thread that the flasher unit is the problem but how do you access?

I was able to track down the problem to the flasher unit. I went to the local bone yard and found a flasher unit, paid Mr. Happy at the checkout shed my $4.00 and went and installed it. Everything works....
