Where is the interior fuse box?

Where is the interior fuse box?
My owners manual shows a fuse box just above the hood release on the drivers side. I don't see it. Do you have to remove the entire panel under the steering wheel to get to it? This is a 2001 V40. Thank you.

Hard to spot in my 2000 V40, had to kneel outside the car & stick my head in there to find it. It's really up there in the corner and difficult to reach, and work on, unless you are part contortionist
