2005 V 50 T5 pcv "whistle"
Just rolled 80,000 km and the car has a distinctive "whistle" at lower rpm. It seems to be PCV related as the noise stops if I remove the oil filler cap. There is a distinctive "whoosh" as the cap is removed and the vacuum is relieved.
The whistle also reduces as rpm approaches 2000 and the turbo kicks in (I think?).
Is this a common problem? Has there been a recall? Does Volvo have an easy fix for this? Any chance that they'll fix it for free?
Otherwise the car is running great and is a fun ride with the AWD and the 6-speed.
Thanks in advance for any tips on this.
